Volleyball Recap: Rauner Gets the Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Rauner faced off against Golder on Wednesday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Rauner easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-9.

Rauner's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Golder, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rauner will take on Hansberry at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Golder, they will challenge Intrinsic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
