Baseball Game Preview: Neshoba Central Rockets vs. Kosciusko Whippets

The Neshoba Central Rockets will head out on the road to square off against the Kosciusko Whippets at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Kosciusko will be up against a hot Neshoba Central squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Neshoba Central was the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over Quitman on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Kosciusko got themselves on the board against Ethel on Friday, but Ethel never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 16-0 win. The Whippets have beaten the Tigers the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

Neshoba Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Kosciusko, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Neshoba Central couldn't quite finish off Kosciusko in their previous meeting back in February and fell 3-1. Can Neshoba Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
