Volleyball Recap: Monroe Comes Up Short

If Monroe was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Sultan on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bearcats fell just short of the Skyline Spartans by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Skyline, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9-3 record this season.

Monroe will challenge Lake Stevens at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Skyline, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Issaquah on the 25th.
