Softball Game Preview: Birdville Hawks vs. Abilene Eagles

For the second straight game, Birdville will face off against Abilene. The Hawks will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Eagles at 1:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Birdville 1.8, Abilene 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Birdville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on Abilene with a sharp 11-1 victory. Considering the Hawks have won 19 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

For Abilene's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izabella Rocha, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Birdville's win bumped their record up to 29-4. As for Abilene, they moved to 21-10 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
