Mt. Pulaski waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Cornerstone Christian Cyclones a 10-0 shutout. Give the Hilltoppers' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Mt. Pulaski pushed their record up to 16-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Cornerstone Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Pulaski will take on Springfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cornerstone Christian, they will welcome Ridgeview at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
