Basketball Recap: Tyjuan Savage Key Part of a Team Effort in Bears Win

There's no place like home for Carver Vo-Tech, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They strolled past the Parkville Knights with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 60-41.

Carver Vo-Tech's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyjuan Savage, who went 7 for 9 on his way to 18 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of David Ross, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Carver Vo-Tech smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

The win got Carver Vo-Tech back to even at 2-2. As for Parkville, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Carver Vo-Tech didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-20 victory against Academy for College and Career Exploration on the 19th. Parkville and Forest Park will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on December 26th. Forest Park will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Parkville surely won't give up without a fight.
