 The Flatirons Academy Bison will head out on the road to  face off against  the Colorado Springs Christian Lions at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 On Tuesday, Flatirons Academy made easy work of Estes Park  and carried off  a  17-2 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Flatirons Academy.
  Jayden Martinez looked comfortable as he  tossed four innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   one  hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side, Flatirons Academy got a  massive  performance out of  Aidan Lambrecht, who  went 3-for-3 with five  RBI, three  runs,  and a  stolen base. Another player making a difference was  Jude Meyer, who  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and a  run.
 Meanwhile,  after only two  runs in their last  contest, Colorado Springs Christian made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Florence  on Tuesday. Colorado Springs Christian was the clear victor by  a  17-2 margin over Florence.
  Micah Davies spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up 16 Ks.
 At the plate, Colorado Springs Christian got a  massive  performance out of  Ben Garl, who  went 3-for-4 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and a  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jessen Eng, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in four of his six plate appearances.
 Flatirons Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Colorado Springs Christian, their win  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 4-5-1.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Flatirons Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 8  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Colorado Springs Christian struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 8.
