Baseball Game Preview: North Salem Vikings vs. Centennial Eagles

The North Salem Vikings are taking a road trip to challenge the Centennial Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. North Salem has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 7.

Putnam hit Centennial with a five-run sixth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Kingsmen, falling 11-0. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Kingsmen: they've now lost four in a row.

North Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 7-16.

North Salem was able to grind out a solid victory over Centennial when the teams last played back in March, winning 13-8. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
