Basketball Recap: Harvest Community Takes a Loss

Harvest Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Forest Lake Academy Panthers.

When it comes to explaining why Harvest Community lost, don't look at Adam Lawson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 boards. Lawson is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ryan Pritchard, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Forest Lake Academy can attribute much of their success to Isaiah Paradise, who went 5 for 9 en route to 14 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Edris, who posted six points and six rebounds.

Harvest Community's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Forest Lake Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 2-11 record.

Harvest Community has already played their next match, a 66-59 defeat against Global Outreach Charter Academy on the 21st. As for Forest Lake Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-30 loss against Bridge to Independence on the 21st.
