Softball Game Preview: Collinsville Pirates vs. Whitewright Tigers

The Collinsville Pirates will head out to challenge the Whitewright Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Collinsville has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 27.

Collinsville blew Sam Rayburn out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Sam Rayburn got their revenge. Collinsville fell just short of Sam Rayburn by a score of 12-10.

Rilee Stewart made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two RBI, and one run. Zoey Kays also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Whitewright came up short against Tioga on Tuesday and fell 7-3.

Collinsville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Whitewright, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Collinsville suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to Whitewright in their previous matchup back in February of 2017. Can Collinsville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
