Stanberry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the Worth County Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-32 last Friday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Worth County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Karson Briner, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 rebounds. Those 17 boards gave Briner a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hayden Sanders, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 14 points.

Stanberry's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Worth County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stanberry will take on St. Joseph Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Worth County, they will venture away from home to face off against Princeton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Princeton will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Worth County surely won't give up without a fight.
