Football Recap: Calhoun Sandcrabs vs. La Vernia Bears
Calhoun's last matchup with La Vernia could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Sandcrabs were dealt a 38-3 loss at the hands of the Bears. The contest marked the Sandcrabs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Izaiah Cabrales threw for 63 yards. Holton Hadley was his top target, picking up 43 receiving yards.
It was another big night for COOPER NULL, who rushed for 111 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 carries, and also threw for 34 yards and one touchdown for La Vernia. NULL's longest rush was for an impressive 59 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. SEAN GARZA was another key player, rushing for 57 yards and one score on only five carries.
