Halifax County waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Martinsville Bulldogs by a score of 61-49. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-49 back in January.

Halifax County's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-8. As for Martinsville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Halifax County will face off against Bassett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Halifax County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Bassett likes a good challenge. As for Martinsville, they will challenge Magna Vista at 8:00 p.m. on February 11th.
