Football Game Recap: Springfield vs. Las Animas

Springfield took their match against Las Animas on Saturday by a conclusive 48-22 score. Followers of Springfield probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected three blowout victories.

Springfield got off to a slow start in their matchup two weeks ago against McClave, but they had no such trouble against Las Animas as they cruised to a 48-point first half. Las Animas countered with 6 points, leaving the score at 48-6 going into the half. Springfield were outscored in the second half, but Las Animas' efforts were ultimately no more than a drop in the ocean. The win was the 3rd in a row for Springfield, as they raised their record to 4-3. The loss dropped Las Animas' record to 2-5.

Springfield will be playing at home against Fowler at at 7:00 PM next week. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both of those teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up. As for Las Animas, they will face off against Simla. Las Animas' defense better steel itself: Simla are averaging 35.83 points per game.
