They put the hurt on South Harrison with a sharp 18-8 victory. Meanwhile, North Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Lincoln.

Robert C. Byrd pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for North Marion, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Robert C. Byrd suffered a grim 21-8 defeat to North Marion when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
