Basketball Game Preview: Mountain View Toros vs. Westwood Warriors

The Mountain View Toros will head out to challenge the Westwood Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Mountain View's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.

If Mountain View beats Westwood with 56 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Mountain View put the hurt on Cibola with a sharp 56-36 win on Tuesday. The Toros have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Westwood can finally bid farewell to their 12-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They came out on top against Gila Ridge by a score of 40-32.

Mountain View pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Westwood, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-12.

Mountain View was able to grind out a solid victory over Westwood in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 51-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mountain View since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
