 Hudson has not done well against Fivay recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. Everything went the Hudson Cobras' way against the Fivay Falcons as the Hudson Cobras made off with  an  11-1 victory. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Hudson.
  Elijah Birren was a major factor no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  hit, only one  earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Birren was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with three  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Owen Wilson was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 Hudson now  has a winning record of 7-6. As for Fivay, they  haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hudson will be staying on the road  on Friday to face off against South Sumter at 7:00  p.m. The timing isn't great for South Sumter: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Hudson has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. As for Fivay, they will  challenge Gulf at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday.
