The Pamlico County Hurricanes will challenge the White Oak Vikings at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Pamlico County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Richlands, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Pamlico County never let Richlands get on the board and left with  a   6-0  win  on Wednesday.
Not much got past  Kylee Morris, who gave up just  three  hits to keep Richlands off the board.
 On the hitting side, Pamlico County let  Kyliah Barber and  Peyton Robinson run wild. Barber  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3, while  Robinson  went 2-for-4 with one  home run and two  runs. That  home run was  Robinson's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Taylor McHenry, who  went 2-for-3 with two  doubles and two  RBI.
 Pamlico County was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .419. They are 2-1 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, White Oak waltzed into their game  on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by  a  14-7 margin over the Mariners.
 Alyssa Carkhuff spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and four unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up 11 Ks. With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 5.7  strikeouts per game.
 At the plate,  Avery Sise was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and one  stolen base. The dominant performance gave  her a new career-high in  RBI.  Jenna Banks was another key player,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 White Oak's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Pamlico County,  the  win  got them back to even at 3-3.
 Everything went Pamlico County's way against White Oak when the teams last played  back in March of 2024, as Pamlico County made off with  a  12-0 victory. Will Pamlico County repeat their success,  or does  White Oak have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
