Softball Game Preview: Elyria Catholic Panthers vs. Madison Comprehensive Rams

Jessica Conner was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillian Ciryak, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Madison Comprehensive and New Philadelphia had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Rams narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Quakers 4-2. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Quakers: they've now won three in a row.

Madison Comprehensive's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Elyria Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 12-0.
