The Walker Wildcats had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Haughton 74-33 on the road. Walker is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 33 straight.
Walker's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kennedi Ard, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 2 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Arionna Patterson, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Walker's win bumped their record up to 35-1. As for Haughton, their loss dropped their record down to 29-7.
Walker will face off against Parkway at TBD on Monday. One thing working in Walker's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 33 contests. Haughton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
