Basketball Recap: Leland Chambliss' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hillsboro Christian Academy over Adams County Christian

Hillsboro Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Adams County Christian Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent loss being a 46-30 defeat two weeks ago.

Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Leland Chambliss, who posted eight points. The dominant performance also gave Chambliss a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (50%). Titus Howsman was another key player, putting up seven points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Hillsboro Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Adams County Christian, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Hillsboro Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 54-51 defeat against Fayette Christian on the 22nd. Adams County Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
