Baseball Recap: Plainfield South Comes Up Short

Plainfield South was the 7-6 winner over Romeoville when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell 5-1 to the Spartans on Monday. The match marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Plainfield South and nudges their season record down to 6-10. As for Romeoville, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

While Plainfield South had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
