While Archbishop Moeller's win against Lakota East wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Archbishop Moeller narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Lakota East 9-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Fighting Crusaders.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ryle, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past Dixie Heights 7-1 on Monday. The Raiders have beaten the Colonels the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Colonels has come to flipping the script.

Ryle's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average this season. As for Archbishop Moeller, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Archbishop Moeller skirted past Ryle 6-5 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Archbishop Moeller since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
