Cardinal Gibbons waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They took down the Western Wildcats 52-36. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Chiefs also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.

Western's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddison Manragh, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards. Manragh is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Tearra Mortimer, who posted eight points and five boards.

Cardinal Gibbons is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.4 points per game. As for Western, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
