Meanwhile, Ayden - Grifton was beaten by North Pitt 50-23 on Tuesday.

SouthWest Edgecombe's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.1 points. As for Ayden - Grifton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-16.

Everything came up roses for SouthWest Edgecombe against Ayden - Grifton in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 62-30 win. In that matchup, SouthWest Edgecombe amassed a halftime lead of 40-15, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
