Softball Recap: Casa Grande Comes Up Short

Casa Grande lost to Sheldon back in March of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Gauchos fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 2-1. The Gauchos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Isla Sutherland spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits.

Casa Grande's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Sheldon, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Coming up, Casa Grande will be taking part in a tournament against Eagle at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Sheldon, they will take on Livermore in a tournament on Friday. The Huskies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cowboys have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
