Basketball Recap: Eastside Comes Up Short

Eastside lost against North Oconee back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles had to suffer through a 69-33 loss at the hands of the Titans. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Titans are ranked 56th).

When it comes to explaining why Eastside lost, don't look at Ari Carter. Despite the final result, she posted 15 points and five boards.

Eastside's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for North Oconee, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Eastside will take on Heritage in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Oconee, they will head out on the road to square off against Buford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans will need to watch out since the Wolves have now posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.
