Volleyball Recap: Green Run Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Green Run was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Landstown Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Stallions of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Landstown scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18, 25-23.

Leading Landstown to victory were Angela Escobar and Sophia Decker. Escobar had 40 digs and two aces, while Decker had 13 digs and seven assists. Those 13 digs gave Decker a new career-high.

Green Run's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Landstown, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Green Run will challenge rival First Colonial at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Landstown is set to square off against their familiar foe Ocean Lakes at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
