Recap: Central Falcons vs. Paul W. Bryant Stampede
The Central Falcons had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Paul W. Bryant 48-31 on Friday. For Central, this counts as revenge for the 45-42 defeat Paul W. Bryant walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaliyah Golston, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Jakhiya Smith was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds.
Central's win bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Paul W. Bryant, they dropped their record down to 7-15 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will take on Hillcrest at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hillcrest presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Central in Alabama (Hillcrest is ranked seventh, while Central is ranked 123rd). As for Paul W. Bryant, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
