If Niwot was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Silver Creek on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars fell just short of the Legacy Lightning by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Niwot sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 23-25, 25-21, 9-25, 15-12.

Niwot's loss came despite strong showings from Olivia Hamlin and Sienna Knight. Hamlin had 12 digs and two assists, while Knight had ten digs.

Niwot's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 10-3. As for Legacy, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
