Basketball Recap: Oasis' Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

Oasis entered their game against Cape Coral on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Oasis Sharks took a 46-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cape Coral Seahawks. The Sharks just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Several Sharks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Katelynn Jakubowski, who posted 12 points. Those 12 points gave Jakubowski a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynn Stambaugh, who earned 11 points and six assists.

Oasis' loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5. As for Cape Coral, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oasis and Community School of Naples will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Oasis is facing Community School of Naples at the right time seeing as Community School of Naples is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Cape Coral, they will welcome Fort Myers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
