Basketball Recap: Maconaquah Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

Maconaquah won the last time they faced Carroll and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Maconaquah Braves walked away with a 77-68 win over the Carroll Cougars. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Braves.

It was another big night for Josiah Ball, who went 9 of 18 to rack up 33 points and seven boards. Devon Murry was another key player, going 7 for 11 on his way to 17 points.

Maconaquah pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 35.2% in those games and 29.8% outside of them. As for Carroll, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maconaquah will welcome Southwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Maconaquah knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Southwood likes a good challenge. As for Carroll, they will be playing at home against Sheridan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sheridan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten games.
