Softball Recap: Mora Takes a Loss

If Mora was feeling good fresh off their 11-2 takedown of Hinckley-Finlayson on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs came up short against the Crosby-Ironton Rangers on Wednesday, falling 7-1. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rangers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Mora now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Crosby-Ironton, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-3.

Looking ahead, Mora will be playing in front of their home fans against Pine City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs are facing the Dragons at the right time seeing as the Dragons are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Crosby-Ironton, they will face off against Aitkin at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Gobblers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Rangers surely won't give up without a fight.
