Gavin Hardeman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lyons-Decatur Northeast over Bancroft-Rosalie
Starting off the list is Lyons-Decatur Northeast's Gavin Hardeman, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hardeman rushed for 248 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Bancroft-Rosalie had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Hardeman it was a similar story. When Hardeman last faced the Panthers back in September of 2023, he rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.

Buchholz Made His Presence Known in Bancroft-Rosalie's 54-42 Victory
Bancroft-Rosalie picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Nick Buchholz. Lyons-Decatur Northeast had no answer to Buchholz as he threw for 277 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 37 yards and two touchdowns.
Buchholz must have Lyons-Decatur Northeast's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Buchholz last faced the Cougars back in September of 2023, he rushed for 42 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 135 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes.

Graysen Briggs and Co. Win Seventh in a Row
Graysen Briggs was instrumental in extending Bancroft-Rosalie's winning streak to seven on Friday. Nobody could stop Briggs as he rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown. His longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.
Lyons-Decatur Northeast had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Briggs it was a similar story. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Briggs saw the Cougars), he rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.

Braylon Wegner was instrumental in extending Bancroft-Rosalie's winning streak to seven on Friday. Wegner did his part (and then some), picking up 142 receiving yards and two touchdowns for the 'W'.
Lyons-Decatur Northeast's probably not too fond of Wegner given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Wegner saw the Cougars), he picked up 108 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

A Season-Best Effort from Landen Cooper Leads Lyons-Decatur Northeast over Bancroft-Rosalie
Lyons-Decatur Northeast came up short on Friday despite Landen Cooper delivering his best game to date. Cooper rushed for 221 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.5 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 52 yards.
On the year, Cooper has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 125.6 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 68.57 rushing yards per game.
