Soccer Game Preview: Southwind vs. Overton

For the first time this season, Southwind will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the Overton Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southwind knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Overton likes a good challenge.

On Tuesday, Southwind made easy work of Hillcrest and carried off a 6-2 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-0.

Meanwhile, Overton had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top against the Red Devils by a score of 3-1. That's two games straight that Overton have won by exactly two goals.

Southwind's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Overton, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
