Baseball Recap: Capital Comes Up Short

Peninsula hit Capital with a eight-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cougars came up short against the Seahawks, falling 12-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Seahawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-7 on Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Capital and nudges their season record down to 6-10-1. As for Peninsula, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Capital will venture away from home to challenge Olympia at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Peninsula, they will head out to take on Gig Harbor at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
