Columbia Central waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Columbia Academy Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2023.

Columbia Central was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-21, 15-10.

Columbia Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gabby Bolton out in front who had seven digs and four aces. That's the most aces Bolton has posted since back in October of 2024.

Bolton wasn't the only good server: Columbia Central was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in five consecutive contests.

Columbia Central's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Columbia Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
