Basketball Game Preview: Marshall Barristers vs. Eagle Rock Eagles

Marshall is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Friday. They will venture away from home to challenge the Eagle Rock Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Marshall is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Van Nuys to the tune of 77-34 on Wednesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Barristers with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Eagle Rock had just enough and edged out Marquez 43-41 on Wednesday.

The victory got Eagle Rock back to even at 5-5. As for Marshall, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Marshall was able to grind out a solid win over Eagle Rock in their previous meeting back in February, winning 71-63. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Barristers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
