            Softball Recap: Lexington Tigers vs. South Gibson Hornets        
        
		
        
        
            Lexington took a 11-run  loss the last time they faced off against South Gibson, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lexington Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  7-6  win over the South Gibson Hornets  on Monday. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the   12-1 victory the Hornets walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in March of 2024.
 Kk Simko was a standout: she scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. She also  hit a  double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Belle Powers, who  went 3-for-4 with two  doubles and two  RBI.

 Lexington was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .414. The last time their  batting average was this high was  back in April of 2024.
The  win  got Lexington back to even at 2-2.
 We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. As for South Gibson, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Huntingdon  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
