Softball Recap: Carroll Comes Up Short

Carroll fell victim to Headland and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 15-0 to the Rams. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost six in a row.

Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8-1. As for Headland, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-7.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Carroll will challenge rival Eufaula at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Headland is set to square off against their familiar foe Houston Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rams 4, the Raiders 0.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
