Basketball Recap: Emerson Hamman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kent Denver over Holy Family

Kent Denver lost against Holy Family back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sun Devils took a 67-52 bruising from the Tigers.

Kent Denver lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Emerson Hamman, who posted 11 points. Austin Duncan was another key player, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards.

Gracie Ward was nothing short of spectacular for Holy Family: she shot 62% from beyond the arc en route to 26 points. The matchup was Ward's third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Pryia Lucas, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds.

Kent Denver's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Holy Family, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Kent Denver wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 61-44 win against Cherry Creek on the 10th. As for Holy Family, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-50 loss against Timnath on the 13th.
