Soccer Recap: Sale Creek's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Soddy Daisy, Sale Creek was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Varsity Opponent a 3-0 shutout. Sale Creek might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by three goals or more this season.

Joel Garcia and Jack McEwan scored all three of Sale Creek's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Sale Creek moved to 3-4-1 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Sale Creek will venture away from home to challenge Marion County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Sale Creek are facing Marion County at the right time seeing as Marion County are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Varsity Opponent, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Chattanooga Central at 5:00 p.m. Varsity Opponent will be up against Chattanooga Central's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.75 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
