Basketball Recap: Fosston Find Success

Fosston hadn't done well against Mahnomen/Waubun recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Fosston Greyhounds secured a 64-58 W over the Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds. For the Greyhounds, this counts as revenge for the 64-43 victory the Thunderbirds walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March.

Fosston's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Mahnomen/Waubun, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Fosston is taking a road trip to take on Fertile-Beltrami at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fosston knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Fertile-Beltrami likes a good challenge. As for Mahnomen/Waubun, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Badger/Greenbush-Middle River at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
