Basketball Recap: Mississippi Valley Christian Takes a Loss

Mississippi Valley Christian has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 53-40 to the Victory Christian Academy Chargers on Thursday.

Victory Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Albrey Jett led the charge by going 8 of 19 en route to 21 points. Jett continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Charlotte Buettner, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 15 points.

Mississippi Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Victory Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Mississippi Valley Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Maranatha Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on February 10th. Victory Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
