Softball Recap: Keyser Makes It Four in a Row at Home

While Keyser's victory against Spring Mills wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Golden Tornado narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Cardinals 7-6. The Golden Tornado haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Brielle Root was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Ivy Bromhal also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Keyser pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Spring Mills, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.

Keyser wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-4 loss against Pendleton County on the 12th. As for Spring Mills, they have also already played their next game, a 13-3 win against Hampshire on the 12th.
