Taylorsville came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Summit Academy, but Dylan Kartchner wouldn't allow it. The Bears took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging an 83-48 victory over the Warriors thanks in part to Kartchner, who shot 67% from the field en route to 21 points. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.8% three-point shooting accuracy.

Preston Kelly was another key player, going 6-for-10 on his way to 14 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Taylorsville lost, don't look at Joseph Timpson. Despite the final result, he posted 13 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Paul Mcgarvey, who put up four points.

The win snapped Summit Academy's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-4 record. As for Taylorsville, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Summit Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-49 loss against Hillcrest on the 9th. As for Taylorsville, they have also already played their next contest, a 77-52 victory against Tooele on the 9th.
