Warrior Run put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Hughesville Spartans by a score of 6-3. Those six runs were actually the fewest the Defenders have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

The team relied heavily on Griffen Harrington, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Warrior Run pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average this season. As for Hughesville, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warrior Run will venture away from home to take on Mifflinburg at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hughesville, they will head out to square off against Loyalsock Township at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Lancers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
