Baseball Recap: Trimble County Comes Up Short

Trimble County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Eminence, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Raiders fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. Considering the last time the Raiders couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Noah Chilton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits.

Trimble County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Eminence, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

While Trimble County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
