Basketball Game Preview: Stafford Spartans vs. Sealy Tigers

The Stafford Spartans will head out on the road to challenge the Sealy Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Stafford will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, everything went Stafford's way against Worthing as Stafford made off with a 57-35 win.

Meanwhile, Sealy hadn't done well against Royal recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way two weeks ago. The stars were shining brightly for Sealy in a 60-45 victory over Royal. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 506th, while the Falcons are ranked 1038th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sealy pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for Stafford, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season.

Stafford came up short against Sealy in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 46-40. Can Stafford avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
