Basketball Recap: Hamilton Comes Up Short

Hamilton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the Melrose Golden Wildcats, falling 54-12. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Melrose, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-7.

Hamilton is taking a road trip to square off against Ridgeway at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. Ridgeway will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Hamilton surely won't give up without a fight. Melrose has already played their next contest (against Kirby), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
